Enter the New Era of Mobile AI with Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today unveiled the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24, which upgrade the mobile experience with Galaxy AI. AI amplifies nearly every experience on the Galaxy S24 series, from enabling barrier-free communication, to maximizing creating freedom, to a search concept that will change the way Galaxy users discover the world around them.
The AI-powered Live Translate function enables communication across language barriers, with two-way, real-time voice and text translations of phone calls within the native app. Interpreter instantly translates live conversations with a split-screen view and works without data or Wi-Fi. Chat Assist supports message creation across apps, perfecting the appropriate tone for a work-related conversation or a social media caption. AI translation built into the Samsung Keyboard can also translate messages and emails in real time across 13 languages. Meanwhile, Note Assist uses AI to generate summaries, templates and covers, while Transcript Assist uses AI and speech-to-text technology to transcribe, summarize and even translate recordings.
The Galaxy S24 series marks a milestone in the history of search as the first phone to debut the intuitive Circle to Search function with Google. With a long press on the home button, users can circle, highlight, tap or scribble on anything on Galaxy S24’s screen to see helpful, high-quality search results. Some searches can also provide generative AI-powered overviews with information and context pulled from across the web.
The suite of AI-powered tools in Galaxy S24’s ProVisual Engine transform image capturing capabilities to maximize creative freedom. The Ultra Quad Tele System, with the new 5x optical zoom lens, uses the Adaptive Pixel Sensor to enable optical-quality performance up to 10x zoom levels. Zoom optimization also applies to the upgraded Nightography capabilities, while the larger pixel size allows more light to be captured in dim conditions. A wider optical image stabilizer reduces blur, while front and rear cameras are both equipped with Dedicated ISP Block for noise reduction. Galaxy AI editing tools make perfecting photos and videos after they have been captured even easier. Edit Suggestion uses Galaxy AI to suggest suitable tweaks for each photo, while Generative AI can fill parts of an image or background, including filling in borders where an image is crooked and adjusting the position of a subject within the frame, blending the background in the original spot. If an action-packed video needs to be slowed down, Instant Slow-mo can generate additional frames. Super HDR reveals lifelike previews before the shutter is pressed and the Galaxy S series camera features integrate directly with mobile apps, automatically showing and sharing images in Super HDR, ensuring every image stuns at every stage.

Each Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which optimizes operational performance and includes 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rates which improve efficiency. Hardware and software improvements, such as a vapor chamber 1.9 times larger than previous models, make for a powerful gaming experience, further enhanced by ray tracing and the brightest Galaxy display ever.
Galaxy S24 devices are secured by Samsung Knox, which safeguards critical information and protects against vulnerabilities. The Knox Matrix is enabling a password-less future through Passkeys, which enable convenient and secure access across trusted devices through digital credentials, which help protect against phishing attacks, while Enhanced Data Protection offers end-to-end encryption when users sync or restore their data with Samsung Cloud.
The Galaxy S24 features recycled cobalt and rare earth elements for the first time, as part of Samsung’s mission to scale the variety of recycled materials in Galaxy devices.
In Galaxy S24 Ultra, a minimum of 50% recycled cobalt was used in the battery, and 100% recycled rare earth elements were incorporated into the speakers. Galaxy S24 is also the first Galaxy S series to be designed with recycled steel and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). Every Galaxy S24 comes in packaging bade from 100% recycled material. Galaxy S24 is UL ECOLOGO^® certified and its carbon footprint has been measured and verified by The Carbon Trust.
Across the Galaxy S24 series, design enhancements such as the optically enhanced Corning® Gorilla® Armor, which improves durability by 50% and reduces glare by 50%, make for an easier viewing experience. Slimmer and more even bezels enable larger screen sizes, while the titanium frame on the Galaxy S24 Ultra improves the device’s durability and its thinner body makes for a better on-the-go experience and more comfortable grip. The series colors are inspired by Earth minerals, including Titanium Gray, Titanium Black, Titanium Violet and Titanium Yellow for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet and Amber Yellow for the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24.
