Hawi Wins Kotler Award for Best Entertainment and Cultural Campaign

"Hawi" National Portal for Hobbies, an initiative under the Quality of Life Program, has won the 2023 Kotler Award for its campaign titled "If you have a hobby, you have a story", which was launched in August as part of Hawi's efforts to activate the hobby sector in the Kingdom and bring Saudi communities together through hobby clubs.

The Kotler Awards are given during an honouring ceremony held once a year to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations in the field of marketing and business.

Hawi Communications and Marketing Officer Enad Al-Nufaie said that this great achievement is testimony to the efforts made by Hawi to develop and activate the hobbies sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and serves as motivation to develop further and enhance the services provided to beneficiaries.

He added that the campaign was launched to achieve several objectives, including raising awareness of the importance of practising hobbies among members of society, encouraging individuals to discover and develop their various hobbies, and improving the lifestyle of

individuals and families.

Across a span of three days, visitors engaged with the 10 experiences featured in the Hawi Pavilion on Boulevard Riyadh City. One of these experiences was falconry, allowing hundreds of daily visitors to hold and take photos with falcons. Those who participated expressed their joy in pursuing this hobby, describing it as a connection between the present and the past, rooted in authentic Arab heritage. Within the pavilion, there were other hobbies rooted in Arab heritage, such as pottery making. This activity drew a crowd of visitors during the three-day event, with attendees expressing their admiration for its creative and innovative elements in crafting purposeful figures. The pavilion also showcased experiences in gardening, football, drawing, folk games, Arabic calligraphy, sculpture, puzzles, and playing the violin.
