A unique innovation in the Prophet's Mosque that catches the eyes of worshipers.
The inside of the domes is made of 2mm wide solid cedar wood laths.
The wood laths are put together, and decorated with distinctive geometric wooden shapes and pieces of blue turquoise.
The outer surface of the domes is made of a light-colored ceramic mosaic pieces, and decorated with geometric shadow stripes in turquoise colour.

Weight: 80 tons
The domes of the Prophet's Mosque open and close automatically through their own control devices linked to the main control room to maintain the cool air inside the mosque, and they are maintained periodically.
The domes are mounted on a square shaped base with a side length of 18 meters, and they move on iron rails with a total length of 1573 meters.
