Andrea Bocelli, the world’s most celebrated tenor, will be back in the ancient city of AlUla, Saudi Arabia to again wow fans at the award-winning Maraya.


The tenor, who has sold over 75 million records worldwide is set to perform on January 21, at Winter at Tantora – the re-imagined culture and arts festival . This will be his fourth visit to the historic desert oasis city. Fans not lucky enough to secure tickets to the sold out event will be able to watch the concert live and free to subscribers of the AlUla Moments YouTube Channel. An opportunity for visitors from across the world to see the man considered by many to be a once in a generation talent.


The Italian tenor is credited with introducing classical music to a whole new audience of listeners and doing it so well that his name has appeared on international pop charts. In 1998 he duetted with Celine Dion on the song “The Prayer” which appeared in the animated film Quest for Camelot and was nominated for an Academy award. A year later he was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.


During his previous concert in April 2021, and as one of his most memorable performances, happened at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra, in AlUla. For the first time Andrea shared the stage with his son Matteo and 9-year-old daughter Virginia. Father and daughter sang Hallelujah to a captivated crowd.


Bocelli said performing in such as setting was a very special moment for the family and for all the musicians on stage: “To be here creating a piece of history in such an inspirational setting so rich in human ingenuity, heritage and culture is truly a moment we will never forget.”


Andrea will be performing at his third Winter at Tantora, this time back in at the newly re-opened Maraya where he first performed in 2018. A unique venue situated in the desert canyon of the Ashar Valley, Maraya has a place in the Guinness Book of Records for being the largest mirrored building in the world with 9,740 mirrored panels.


While the concert is sold out, and to reach all the Maestro’s fans from around the world, the concert will be broadcasted live at MBC1 TV channel and on AlUla Moments and MBC1 YouTube channels at 9:00 PM KSA standard time.
