As part of a comprehensive tCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, NEOM has launched a volunteer initiative to support local families during the Holy Month of Ramadan, in collaboration with Al Bir Charity and Haqal Charity, both in Tabuk.

Over recent weeks, NEOM employees have volunteered to support the two local charities, by packing and distributing food baskets containing all the necessities local families customarily require during Ramadan.

Government Relations Executive Director at NEOM, Meshari Al-Motairi, said NEOM was committed to supporting local communities.

“NEOM is embarking on a series of volunteering initiatives designed to assist our neighbouring communities. Our goal is to advocate, support and empower local communities through educational programs, social engagement activities and the creation of employment opportunities,” Mr Al-Motairi said.

"At NEOM we are implementing a range of diverse and inclusive social initiatives. We want to foster a culture of giving, while also increasing awareness of the importance of volunteering. Initiatives like this not only allow us to help local communities but also help us build a solid foundation for sustainable development that shows a real commitment to the local community.”

NEOM recently launched an initiative to provide employment opportunities for local residents. Between 2020 and 2025, NEOM aims to provide training and upskilling programs to at least 7,000 people from the surrounding area to enhance their employment prospects. Since 2020, NEOM has also provided English language and information technology courses for more than 1,000 residents from the surrounding area.

Additionally, NEOM's Corporate Social Responsibility Department has organized a series of workshops in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Think Tech to spread digital literacy and increase digital awareness.
