‏Remarkable turnout for “Friday Mornings” at “Hawi” Booth in Riyadh Book Fair

The national portal for hobbies “HAWI” successfully wrapped up its participation booth with an impressive number of visitors and enthusiasts in attendance at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2023. They had the opportunity to learn firsthand about HAWI's mission to promote the significance of engaging in and enhancing hobbies and provided a comprehensive overview of its efforts in creating awareness and facilitating opportunities for hobbyists to pursue their interests. Additionally, establish collaborative partnerships with various organizations in the hobby-related community.

HAWI's participation in Riyadh International Book Fair showcased its distinctive and cultural experiences for visitors, that integrate with accompanying events and activities aimed to enhance the overall influence of cultural hobbies, raising awareness and contributing to the improvement of people's quality of life.

The booth events witnessed the participation of various clubs including Fikra Clubs, Kafaat, Friday Mornings, and Reading Pages. Additionally, the Tanafas and First-year Writing Clubs, as well as the Wasm literature club and Anaqeed visual art club, also took part in these events.

The clubs intended to take part in the event to showcase their activities, promoting the growth of their members' interests. In addition, Anaqeed Visual Arts Club presented a live performance for Arabic calligraphy and visual arts enthusiasts, and they also organized an exhibition displaying rock sculptures for those interested in sculpture.

The objective of Hawi's participation was to enhance understanding of the concept of hobbies, create awareness about the National Hobbies Portal's initiatives, foster cultural hobbies, and offer exhibition visitors a chance to engage with cultural hobby clubs firsthand.

The "Friday Mornings" Reading Club was one of the clubs organized as part of the activities at the Howie booth during the Book Fair. Its main objective was to foster meaningful and valuable relationships, while also promoting knowledge sharing and a love for reading and establishing close connections with the readers and visitors of the Riyadh International Fair.

HAWI set aside a designated area in their booth at the exhibition for reading that was opened to all visitors, and dedicated a corner for visual arts that showcased the drawings of the artist and painter Wadded Tarabzouni, who impressed the visitors with his unique and non-intersecting line drawing technique.

The National Hobbies Portal "HAWI" is one of the initiatives of the Quality of Life Program, in collaboration with 12 government entities, working on developing and activating the hobbies sector in the Kingdom by establishing hobby clubs, registering memberships, submitting support requests, clarifying the regulations governing the sector, as well as reserving spaces and facilities, enabling the attendance and participation in training courses, and activating community partnerships with local institutions.

To emphasize, Riyadh International Book Fair concluded its activities on Saturday until October 7 at the King Saud University campus. The event, themed "An Inspiring Destination," features the participation of over 1,800 publishers from 32 countries. Notably, Oman has been chosen as the distinguished guest of honor for this year's edition.
