The official spokesman of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in its seventh edition, Mohammed Al-Harbi, confirmed that the number of visitors to the festival exceeded the barrier of 800 thousand visitors since its inception in early December, amid great expectations of an increase in the number, especially with the intensification of competitions in various races.

During the press conference organized by the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival today in Al-Sayahed in the presence of a number of local, Arab and international media, Al-Harbi indicated that the festival is witnessing integration between its administration and government agencies, which exceeded 17 participating entities directly and indirectly, pointing out that the festival has so far recorded remarkable success at various competitive, organizational and media levels and they seek to achieve more of these numbers by the end of the festival in mid-January. In light of the absence of any significant security violations, and this is evidence of the full awareness of visitors and participants

The official spokesman reviewed the participations and runs that have been held so far within the competitions, indicating that the total prizes of the festival reached 300 million riyals, including also the prizes of the races of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, which ended its preliminary runs by 396 runs in various categories, while the number of texts that underwent medical examination in the festival as a whole exceeded 5600, of which 311 were excluded.

Al-Harbi drew attention to the many benefits of the festival, including the economic aspect, which was reflected in all regions of the Kingdom through the recovery of camel markets, pointing out that the rare zero auction exceeded the barrier of deals in it by 26 million riyals, as well as Al-Dahna Commercial Street, which is an economic and cultural attraction and supportive of beneficiaries and owners of small and medium enterprises.
