Under Patronage of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Golden Jubilee Celebration Takes Place on Sidelines of IsDB Group 2024 Annual Meetings

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Golden Jubilee Celebration takes place on the sidelines of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group's 2024 Annual Meetings, held in Riyadh April 27-30, under the theme 'Cherishing our Past, Charting our Future: Originality, Solidarity, and Prosperity'.
On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of Riyadh Province will attend the Golden Jubilee Celebration, commemorating 50 years of fostering sustainable socio-economic development in its member nations and Muslim Communities in Non-Member nations.
The Saudi Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group's Board of Governors Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, noted that the Annual Meetings represent an important platform to discuss ways to enhance cooperation among Islamic member nations, achieve sustainable and comprehensive development in Islamic nations, and transform their economies into sustainable and diversified economies capable of overcoming crises.
Minister Aljadaan also emphasized that Saudi Arabia holds a distinguished position globally as one of the leading nations in hosting and sponsoring many important international meetings and conferences. He also said that Saudi Arabia continues to support development programs and projects through the IsDB Group, which contributes to achieving progress and prosperity in order to build a bright and sustainable future for the region and the world.
H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, affirmed that the relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the IsDB Group represents a model of strategic partnership. He pointed out that this partnership has enabled the Bank to benefit from the Kingdom's expertise and resources as a role model to assist in driving sustainable and comprehensive growth in many member countries. Dr. Al Jasser stated that the annual meetings of the IsDB Group this year came at a crucial time when the world is facing simultaneous and multiple crises, foremost among them being climate shocks and economic uncertainties, that led to an increase in global inflation.
The IsDB Group's annual meetings will also include Governors’ Plenary Session and Governors’ Roundtable Meeting to discuss the Islamic nations' most pressing economic challenges and future opportunities. The meetings will also include a series of seminars, sessions, and accompanying events attended by experts from governments, international and regional organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society.
