The minister of Commerce inaugurates the "Makkah halal forum" and honors the participating parties

His Excellency the minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, inaugurated today (Wednesday) the Makkah halal forum, held at the Makkah Chamber of exhibitions and Events Center, which continues until tomorrow, Thursday. At the beginning of the ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, chairman of the board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and president of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, delivered a speech in which he stressed the status of Makkah as a destination and a kiss for Muslims and the importance of hosting an international forum for Muslims, and then praised the efforts of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the halal industry sector and the reliability of the production of halal food and drinks, until the logo made in Saudi Arabia became the most important Halal certification for various countries of the world. During his speech, he pointed out that the role of the 'Mecca halal forum' lies in supporting the halal market and finding a platform that brings together all Islamic countries, and opening channels of communication between various interested and producers in this important sector, concluding his speech by thanking the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the crown prince and the wise government for their role in the kingdom's development and progress, wishing the kingdom continued prosperity and giving. For his part, H. E. Mr. Fawaz bin Talal Al Harbi, chairman of halal products development company, delivered a speech on the occasion of the opening of the forum, in which he stressed that the forum aims to empower the promising halal sector and activate the role of the private sector, regulators and legislative bodies to take advantage of the multiple opportunities in this sector and open promising prospects for young people. He added: global spending on halal products and services is increasing, as global consumer spending is expected to reach 5 trillion dollars in the coming years. Studies also indicate that the kingdom is one of the largest importing countries of halal industries and products, while the largest exporting countries of halal products and industries are not from the countries belonging to the organization of Islamic Cooperation, which generates great opportunities in the halal industry in the kingdom, including the establishment of the halal products development company, which relies on the initiative approach to promote the halal industry globally, and the development of a dynamic and flexible system for halal products in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His Excellency concluded his speech thanking the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their efforts great efforts have contributed to the significant growth and development of the bird we are witnessing in various Sectors. For his part, His Excellency the minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, delivered a speech, which began by saying: Today we celebrate the inauguration of the 'Makkah halal Forum' in its first version of Makkah the Muslim kiss, and the most beautiful thing is that it is with the participation of a number of local and international entities, but in fact we are much delayed, but thank God that we have started now, as the halal industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. So, thank God and thank Allah that there is a great opportunity to develop this industry and take the initiative that started from Mecca, and God willing, it will continue in Mecca, and take off and grow, God willing. During his speech, His Excellency stressed the importance of the forum in that it brings together the most influential experts and specialists in the halal industry, both government and private sectors, and its role in opening horizons for creativity, innovation and competitiveness of products and services in the halal industry, concluding his speech by thanking the guests and attendees for their participation in this forum, in addition to everyone who contributed his effort, time and money to the success of this forum, praying to Allah that the outcomes of the forum will achieve its goals, and also extended his sincere thanks to the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his crown prince. At the end of the ceremony, six memorandums of Understanding were signed between several local, Islamic and international entities, and the participants, sponsors and distinguished personalities who had a role in establishing this forum were honored, headed by His Excellency the minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi.
